Laima
I was hoping to make this a hooded vest, but ran out of yarn.
It is hard to see the detail but the bottom is edged in a chevron seed-stich pattern. The pattern down the front was inspired by a visit to www.nordwear.com/symbols.html which gives the names and descriptions of of some Lettish folk symbols. The pattern I chose is Laima- representing needles on a fir branch (pointing upwards) for good fortune.
